Camp Corazón

Camp Corazón is coming to Las Cruces for 2 one-day camps on October 7th & 8th (choose your preferred day). Camp will be held from 9a – 5p on both days.
The Grief Center is happy to welcome *NMSU School of Social Work as a co-sponsor for these camps. Camp Corazón will offer young people ages 7 – senior in high school a day that includes camp activities such as a challenge course and fun games, and a unique opportunity for young people who have experienced a significant death in their lives to share feelings and memories with peers who’ve been through something similar.
Participants will talk about coping skills that can help them manage grief in their daily lives. There is also a presentation for caregivers that includes grief education and how to support a child who is grieving, given in English and Spanish!
