The Grief Resource Center has a new website! The website helps fulfill an important part of the Grief Resource Center mission and vision by helping spread the word about the array of classes, workshops, and supports to help people better understand the circumstances of their grief, and to identify beneficial resources as they move forward on their own unique pathways to healing.
Many features make our website user-friendly to keep you informed about events happening here: being able to register online for an event, request a counseling session online, or read about the latest news or upcoming workshops.
Many workshops require advance registration like Yoga and Grief: A Compassionate Journey Towards Healing, a two-part workshop, or on the Saturday before Mother’s Day, a workshop to explore aspects of grief surrounding the Mother’s Day observance. Other events like support groups are ongoing and do not always require registration, but an RSVP can let us know you’re planning to attend.
In June, a conference will be held in collaboration with the Grief Resource Center, Presbyterian and French Funerals. Called The Impact of Cultural Diversity on Health and End of Life Care, it is primarily for health care professionals, but Thursday evening is open to the public. Registration information is on the site, as well as information about CEU’s.
Also, on the site you can learn about the GRC Board of Directors, who have lent their expertise and passion to get the Resource Center up and running, as well as staff members Linda Phelps, the Executive Director at the GRC, and Desiree Woodland, Administrative Assistant.

We are extremely proud of how far the Grief Resource Center has come in a few short months and want to share the new and improved website with you, as well the ongoing work that is happening here!
