Summertime Grief Webinar
May 14, 2026 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
This free webinar is among a series of trainings designed to increase understanding of the grieving process, develop skills to support grieving individuals, improve communication, foster resilience, and help people find new meaning after a death. These webinars provide knowledge about how to offer emotional and practical support, navigate awkward conversations, and care for oneself and others during times of bereavement.
Many people start thinking about summer plans as the weather warms. For many grieving families, summer is a time of conflicting feelings. For some people, the end of school and after-school activities might be a relief, particularly if they had trouble focusing and having enough energy for homework and class. Others will miss the social interaction and structure that sports and school offer. Adults may have a more relaxed schedule during the summer, but they may still have to worry about finding daycare or saving enough money for trips and camps.
Learning Outcomes:
Intensity of summertime grief.
Ways to cope.
A summer of self-care.
