What is Grief? Webinar
September 16, 2025 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
This free webinar is among a series of trainings designed to increase understanding of the grieving process, develop skills to support grieving individuals, improve communication, foster resilience, and help people find new meaning after a death. These webinars provide knowledge about how to offer emotional and practical support, navigate awkward conversations, and care for oneself and others during times of bereavement.
Grief is a normal response to a death or the loss of something important, including divorce, illness, or job loss, among other things. In addition to involving complicated and frequently strong feelings including shock, numbness, anger, and sadness, it can also have cognitive and physical effects such difficulty sleeping or thinking. Grief can be a hard and messy experience, but it is an essential part of processing and coming to understand how to live with the loss.
