Overcoming Loneliness & Building Support (webinar)
March 24, 2027 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
This free webinar is among a series of trainings designed to increase understanding of the grieving process, develop skills to support grieving individuals and colleagues, improve communication, foster resilience, and help people find new meaning after a death. These webinars provide knowledge about how to offer emotional and practical support, navigate awkward conversations, and care for oneself and others during times of bereavement.
One of the most painful aspects of grief is loneliness. Even when surrounded by people, grieving individuals can feel isolated, misunderstood, or disconnected from others. Relationships often change after a loss, and support may not always come from the people we expect. This webinar explores the impact of loneliness during grief and provides practical strategies for building meaningful support. Participants will learn how to identify healthy sources of connection, communicate their needs, and strengthen their support network while honoring their grief journey.
By the end of this webinar, participants will:
• Understand why loneliness is common during grief.
• Recognize how loss can affect relationships and social connections.
• Identify barriers to seeking support.
• Learn practical ways to build and strengthen support systems.
• Create a personalized support plan.
