Honoring Memories While Moving Forward (webinar)
May 13, 2027 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
This free webinar is among a series of trainings designed to increase understanding of the grieving process, develop skills to support grieving individuals and colleagues, improve communication, foster resilience, and help people find new meaning after a death. These webinars provide knowledge about how to offer emotional and practical support, navigate awkward conversations, and care for oneself and others during times of bereavement.
One of the most common fears among grieving individuals is that moving forward means leaving their loved one behind. Many worry that healing somehow requires forgetting. In reality, healthy grieving involves finding ways to honor memories, preserve connection, and carry a loved one’s influence into the future. This webinar explores how remembrance can be an important part of healing. Participants will learn practical ways to celebrate a loved one’s legacy, navigate anniversaries and special occasions, and move forward without letting go of the love they continue to carry.
By the end of this webinar, participants will:
• Understand the concept of continuing bonds after loss.
• Explore healthy ways to remember and honor loved ones.
• Learn strategies for navigating birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays.
• Recognize that healing and remembering can coexist.
• Create a personal remembrance plan.
