Caring for Yourself While Grieving (webinar)

January 14, 2027 @ 5:00 pm 6:00 pm

This free webinar is among a series of trainings designed to increase understanding of the grieving process, develop skills to support grieving individuals and colleagues, improve communication, foster resilience, and help people find new meaning after a death. These webinars provide knowledge about how to offer emotional and practical support, navigate awkward conversations, and care for oneself and others during times of bereavement.

Grief can affect every part of a person’s life, including physical health, emotional well-being, relationships, concentration, energy levels, and daily routines. During times of loss, self-care often becomes more difficult, yet it becomes more important than ever. This webinar explores realistic and compassionate ways to care for yourself while grieving. Participants will learn that self-care is not about “fixing” grief. It is about supporting oneself through difficult experiences.

By the end of this webinar, participants will:
• Understand how grief affects the body, mind, and emotions.
• Recognize common self-care challenges during grief.
• Learn practical strategies for supporting physical and emotional well-being.
• Identify signs they may need additional support.
• Create a personalized self-care plan.
